So, It's mid December. I'm cold up here in the mountains of North Carolina. I went back and looked at photos from this past summer to warm up my thoughts and hopefully you'll enjoy warming up to them too. It's like Christmas in July, but the opposite.
These photos were taken back in late August, when I was visiting with my parents at their lake house in Virginia. Kerr Lake, or Buggs Island, depending on whether you're from VA or NC, is so beautiful, it's one of the largest man-made lakes in the Southeast. A lot of areas surrounding the lake are "middle of nowhere" places, making it an intriguing place to explore for a photographer.

Below are photographs of some glassware by the firelight.
Have the pictures from summer created a feeling of synthetic warmth yet?? No??... Well it was worth a try. I find them enjoyable either way. Find more photos on my photography page.

On another note, I've added some smaller weavings to my etsy shop, LoopsAndStone. Here are some detail photos, but click on them to view the items in my store! I'm really excited to start weaving, and wait until you see what I've got in store for them. I'll dedicate an entire blog post to it next time. Look out for it!
